Making Tax Digital & PINT UK E-Invoicing
MTD for VAT is mandatory for all UK VAT-registered businesses. QuotCraft is fully MTD-compliant and supports PINT UK Peppol for public sector and international invoicing.
HMRC's Making Tax Digital (MTD) for VAT requires all VAT-registered businesses in the UK to keep digital records and submit VAT returns using compatible software. QuotCraft is fully MTD-compatible from day one. For structured e-invoicing β used by NHS trusts, Crown Commercial Service bodies, and Peppol-connected EU buyers β QuotCraft supports the PINT UK standard (Peppol International for the United Kingdom). You pay per Peppol transmission via the pay-as-you-go credits system β no minimum volume, no subscription commitment.

Making Tax Digital β what this means for your business
Since April 2022, every VAT-registered business in the UK must keep digital records and file VAT returns digitally using MTD-compatible software. QuotCraft satisfies all HMRC MTD requirements automatically β your invoices are created in a compliant digital format and your VAT data is always ready for submission. MTD for Income Tax Self-Assessment (ITSA) is being phased in from April 2026 for sole traders and landlords with income above Β£50,000.
PINT UK β Peppol for the United Kingdom
Post-Brexit, the UK uses the PINT UK specification (Peppol International for UK) for Peppol e-invoicing. QuotCraft supports PINT UK and provides a dedicated Peppol Outbox, Inbox, and Statistics module. The Outbox tracks every outgoing transmission with six status steps and a SHA-256 checksum for an irrefutable audit trail. The Inbox automatically receives incoming supplier invoices. The Statistics module shows your monthly consumption and delivery success rate.
Pay-as-you-go credits and all EU formats
Peppol transmissions consume credits that you top up as needed β no minimum volume, no annual subscription. QuotCraft also supports XRechnung 3.0 and ZUGFeRD 2.x for German clients, Factur-X for French clients, and Peppol BIS 3.0 for Belgian and Dutch clients. Credit notes are also sent as fully UBL-compliant Peppol documents. For NHS and government invoicing under CCS frameworks, PINT UK is used automatically.
